$SAHARA Token Unlock and Lockup Calendar

Updated August 18, 2026

As of August 18, approximately 3.58 billion $SAHARA, or 35.76% of the 10 billion maximum supply, is unlocked. A majority of that unlocked supply remains held in Sahara AI's treasury, primarily reserved for Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development, rather than deployed into the market. These two allocations are designed to fund community rewards, builders, grants, integrations, ecosystem growth, and other strategic initiatives over multiple years. Sahara AI's original tokenomics dedicate 54.68% of supply to these two allocations.

The next scheduled unlock is August 26, 2026, from these Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development allocations. Early Backers begin unlocking on September 26, 2026, followed by founders, the core team, and advisors on December 26, 2026. Both insider cliffs were voluntarily delayed from June, with investors extending by three months and the team by six months.

How much $SAHARA is currently unlocked?

As of August 18, approximately 3.58 billion $SAHARA, or 35.76% of total supply, has unlocked under the token schedule.

That does not mean 3.58 billion $SAHARA has been distributed into the market.

A majority of the unlocked supply remains held by Sahara AI in treasury, primarily within the Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development allocations. These are long-term ecosystem reserves that Sahara AI can deploy as opportunities arise.

This distinction is important when reading the $SAHARA unlock calendar:

  • Unlocked means tokens are no longer restricted by the original time-based token schedule.

  • Held in treasury means Sahara AI has not distributed those tokens and they remain reserved for future use.

  • Deployed means treasury tokens have actually been used for a community program, incentive, grant, partnership, liquidity initiative, or another ecosystem purpose.

For Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development, an unlock therefore gives Sahara AI more capacity to fund future growth. It does not create an obligation to distribute those tokens on the unlock date.

What is the next $SAHARA token unlock?

The next scheduled unlock is August 26, 2026, from the Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development allocations.

Together, these two allocations represent 54.68% of the total $SAHARA supply and were created to fund Sahara AI's growth over multiple years. Community Incentives support areas such as dataset and agent contributions, ambassador programs, community initiatives, and regional growth. Ecosystem Development supports developer grants, incubation, hackathons, validators, liquidity initiatives, integrations, and platform development.

The monthly schedule determines when more of this treasury becomes available to use, not when it has to be spent.

A majority remains in treasury today. We have been deliberate about deploying it, particularly during weaker market conditions. If there isn't a strong enough opportunity to justify a distribution, those tokens can remain in treasury until there is.

That preserves more of the allocation for periods when we believe it can have greater impact — whether that's accelerating user growth, attracting developers, supporting new $SAHARA utility, funding strategic ecosystem partnerships, or rewarding meaningful participation.

Why does Sahara AI keep unlocked tokens in treasury?

Because the Community Incentives and Ecosystem Development allocations are intended to fund years of growth, not to be spent simply because tokens become available.

We evaluate how much to deploy based on the opportunity, expected ecosystem impact, and market conditions. This gives us the flexibility to be more conservative when the market is weak and more aggressive when we see opportunities where token incentives can meaningfully accelerate adoption.

It also helps limit unnecessary sell pressure. If an incentive program doesn't justify distributing additional tokens, we can keep those tokens in treasury for a better use later.

The result is that Sahara AI still has significant token resources available to invest in the community and ecosystem as new products launch and market conditions improve.
