Alpha Signals: Your Trading Edge, Monitored 24/7

Every edge in trading comes down to seeing the right move before the crowd. A funding rate snapping away from its mean before a squeeze. Volume loading up before price breaks. A key level giving way while you were looking at something else. These are where the alpha is, and they rarely happen while you are watching the chart.

Sorin Alpha Signals watches for them. You already know which setups matter to you. The problem is watching for them on every pair, at every hour, without stepping away from the screen. You set your conditions once and Sorin does the watching, then pings you in-app, on Telegram, or by email the moment one fires. It launches with twelve signal types across price, momentum, volatility, volume, and funding.

The Twelve Signals

Alpha Signals run from basic price alerts to momentum, volatility, volume, and funding, and every one is configurable down to the timeframe, thresholds, and levels you actually trade:

  1. Price. Fires when spot price crosses, touches, or closes beyond a level you configure. The simplest and most used alert, for when you just need to know that price reached a number.

  2. MACD Cross. Fires when DIF and DEA cross on the timeframe you choose. A classic momentum-shift signal for catching trend changes early.

  3. MACD Histogram. Tracks momentum acceleration through histogram bar expansion, so you can see momentum building before the cross confirms it.

  4. KDJ Overbought / Oversold. Fires when K crosses 80 for overbought or 20 for oversold, with J confirmation to filter out weaker signals.

  5. RSI Overbought / Oversold. Fires when RSI breaches the overbought or oversold thresholds you set. Tune it to your own definition of stretched rather than the textbook 70 and 30.

  6. Bollinger Band Break. Fires when price closes outside its Bollinger band, a clean way to flag when a move has pushed beyond its normal range.

  7. MA / EMA Cross. Fires when a fast moving average crosses a slow one on your selected interval. Golden cross, death cross, or any pair you want to track.

  8. Volume Anomaly. Fires when the volume z-score exceeds your threshold over a rolling window. Volume shows up before price does, and this catches the spike while it is happening.

  9. Key Level Break. Fires when price breaks the support or resistance you define. Draw your own levels, let Sorin watch them.

  10. Funding Rate Anomaly. Fires when perpetual funding deviates from its rolling mean. Funding tells you how crowded a side of the trade is, and a sharp deviation often precedes a squeeze.

  11. Whale / Large Order. Fires when a single order or transfer above your threshold is detected. Size moves markets, and this flags it when it lands.

  12. Volatility Shift. Fires when ATR or implied volatility jumps relative to baseline. A regime change in volatility often matters more than the direction of the next candle.

Once you set a signal, it shows up in My Monitors alongside everything else you are watching. Every time one triggers it sends an alert and saves to your Trigger History, so you can go back and see exactly what fired and when, and tighten the setups that keep catching the move.

A Few Ways to Use It

  • Watch a key level for a breakout and get pinged only when a Volume Anomaly confirms real size is behind it.

  • Catch a Funding Rate Anomaly on a perp and pair it with a Volatility Shift to see a squeeze setting up before it unwinds.

  • Put an MA / EMA Cross on the weekly for a long-term hold and forget about it until the moment it matters.

Alpha Signals Is Just the First Step in a Wider Autonomous Trading Release

What ships today is detection, the first piece of a bigger build. These signals are the backbone for automated, AI-powered trading in Sorin. Once the engine reliably catches the setups that matter, the next step is acting on them, turning a signal that fires into a position Sorin manages for you while you are away from the keyboard.

The next version adds AI for intent-based signal creation and autonomous trading capabilities when your triggers hit. Simply describe a setup in plain language and have Sorin build the monitor for you, so a trading idea becomes a live trigger without you touching a single threshold.

Alpha Signals is still in beta. There is a lot of new development behind it, and different parameter settings under different market conditions can trigger different alerting logic. We have tested the core flows and default configurations, but not every combination yet, and we are still hunting for corner cases. If you run an unusual setup and something fires in a way you did not expect, tell us. That is the fastest way we make the engine solid for everyone as we move on to phase two!
