Sahara AI Updated Roadmap: From Testnet to Mainnet and Beyond

The future of society will be driven and powered by AI. It is our vision to not only accelerate this future, but to ensure that it is open, equitable, and collaborative. That is why we are creating the core AI and blockchain infrastructure needed for everyone to contribute to, and share in, the value AI generates.

Over the past year, we’ve taken enormous steps toward that vision: launching our Data Services Platform, onboarding developers to our testnet, and completing our $SAHARA token launch. Now, we’re entering the next phase: activating real token utility, enabling new agent use cases, and transitioning to Sahara Mainnet.

This roadmap highlights everything we’ve accomplished so far and gives a clear view of what’s next across the rest of 2025 and beyond.

What We’ve Achieved So Far

Over the past year, Sahara AI has delivered milestone after milestone, laying the foundation for an open and equitable AI economy:

Q4 2024: Data Services Platform (DSP) – Private Testnet

Last year we launched the Data Services Platform for a select group of whitelisted users on our private testnet, enabling contributors to collect, refine, and label the data needed to power AI development. This gave non-developers a way to earn rewards and meaningfully participate in the AI economy from day one of our platform.

Q1 2025: AI Developer Platform – Private Testnet

Early this year we opened whitelisted access to our AI Developer Platform, equipping select developers with tools to build, test, and deploy AI pipelines. This marked the introduction of Sahara AI’s end-to-end ecosystem.

Q2 2025: SIWA Public Testnet Launch

The SIWA Testnet opened public access to our blockchain infrastructure, establishing the chain as the backbone of Sahara AI’s ecosystem. For the first phase of SIWA, anyone could upload their datasets and register them on-chain, ensuring transparent ownership and provenance when used for AI development.

Q3 2025: Ecosystem Expansion + $SAHARA TGE

This summer, we delivered some of our biggest milestones yet:

• AI Developer Platform and AI Marketplace Open-Beta launch, with access to dataset monetization now live for testing;
  
  

• Launch of the Agent Builder, enabling the creation of AI-powered agents using datasets and models found in the AI Marketplace or uploaded yourself;
  
  

• The $SAHARA token launched on Ethereum and BNB Chain ahead of Sahara Mainnet;
  
  

• DSP opened full access to all contributors and introduced a new Dual-Reward system that allows contributors to earn $SAHARA + partner tokens for certain tasks. Users were also recently introduced to reward claiming, which allows contributors to withdraw eligible earnings directly from the platform itself. 

What’s Next in Q4 2025 and Beyond

We are now entering the most important phase of Sahara AI’s journey: transitioning to mainnet and unlocking full-scale token utility. Here’s everything we have lined up for the rest of this year and beyond:

These agents will go beyond general-purpose functionality by embedding domain expertise into their workflows benefitting both end users and the Sahara ecosystem.
